How to deposit on Stake

Stake is crypto-first. If you have never sent an on-chain transfer, this is the part worth getting right — a deposit sent on the wrong network is usually gone for good.

Pick the right coin first

Your balance is denominated in whichever coin you deposit. That matters more than people expect: if you deposit Bitcoin and BTC falls 10% while you play, your balance falls with it regardless of how the games went.

For most people, USDT is the correct choice. It is pegged to the dollar, so your balance does not move with the market and your wins and losses are purely the result of play. Deposit BTC or ETH only if you actively want that exposure.

Watch the network, not just the coin

USDT exists on several networks — Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20), Solana and others. The deposit address Stake gives you is valid for one specific network. Sending TRC-20 funds to an ERC-20 address will typically lose them permanently, and support cannot reverse an on-chain transaction.

Always match the network selected on your exchange to the network shown above the deposit address. Check it twice. This is the single most expensive mistake beginners make, and it has nothing to do with gambling.

What the transfer costs

Every on-chain move pays a network fee that varies by chain and congestion. Tron and Solana are typically cents. Litecoin is cheap. Bitcoin and Ethereum can cost meaningful money on a small transfer — sending $50 of ETH during congestion can lose a noticeable fraction to gas.

If you are depositing a small amount, the network you choose matters more to your bottom line than anything else on this page.

The actual steps

1. In your Stake wallet, choose Deposit and select your coin and network. 2. Copy the deposit address, or scan the QR code. 3. On your exchange, start a withdrawal to that address using the same network. 4. Send a small test amount first if you are new — the fee is worth the certainty. 5. Wait for network confirmations; the balance appears automatically.

Before you deposit anything

Confirm your country is permitted, enable two-factor authentication, and complete identity verification early while your balance is small. Verification is triggered at withdrawal, and discovering a problem then — with money already inside — is how balances get frozen.

Common questions

Which coin should I deposit?
USDT for most people, because it is dollar-pegged and your balance will not swing with the market. Choose BTC or ETH only if you deliberately want that exposure.
What happens if I use the wrong network?
The funds are typically lost permanently. On-chain transactions cannot be reversed and support cannot recover them. Always match the network on both sides.
How long does a deposit take?
Usually minutes, depending on the chain and how many confirmations are required. Solana and Tron are fast; Bitcoin can take longer when the network is busy.
Can I deposit with a card?
Some regions support card purchases through third-party providers, generally at higher fees than buying on an exchange and transferring. Crypto transfer is the cheaper route.
