Crash is a single decision repeated forever: a multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs. At some unpredictable point it crashes. If you cashed out before the crash you keep your stake multiplied; if you did not, you lose it. Everyone in the round watches the same curve, which is why it has the most social feel of any game on the site.
The tension is entirely psychological. The maths does not care whether you cash out at 1.2x or 20x — the house edge is the same either way. What changes is how often you win and how large the wins are.

Martingale — doubling after a loss — does not work here; it converts many small wins into one catastrophic loss, and the table limit ends the sequence before recovery.
